If you're looking for a vintage Italian alto that looks and plays great, this is it. This is what I found: a well preserved Italian alto that's cleaned, adjusted, and ready for play. Sax serial #22849.
The tone is lively and rounded on the included Delmer golden tone 3 mouthpiece. Thanks!, mogar model with original case. After extensive research, comparing bell to body braces, pink keys, palm keys.etc. Vintage 60s Benetone by Alfredo Santoni Italian alto sax.
The original case is sturdy and has been cleaned. Cosmetically, there are no dents or dings, hardly any scuffs scratches, and just some random tiny spot finish wear that's difficult to detect. Pads, corking, and felts are all in very good to great condition. Included with the case are a microfiber polishing cloth, original black end cap, vintage neck strap, and Delmer golden tone 3 mouthpiece w/ligature, new Rico plastic over reed.
The right latch works, but does not spring back, the left is broken, so I installed a middle that works great. Action is quick and smooth with comfortable ergonomics.
